Privacy Policy
What we collect
To send a fax, Cheapfax collects:
- Your Cheapfax user ID (always)
- The fax document you upload (kept for 30 days, then deleted)
- The recipient number, page count, status, and timestamp
- Apple In-App Purchase transaction IDs and product IDs
- Your email address, from whichever sign-in method you use — Apple, Google, or email (may be an Apple private-relay address)
- A device push token — only if you enable notifications, used solely to send you fax status updates
- Usage data, such as the screens and pages you view, with a random app or browser identifier, collected through Google Analytics on this website and in the app. We do not collect your advertising identifier.
How we use your data
Your document is transmitted to Sinch, our fax provider, only for the purpose of delivering the fax. Sinch is configured to not retain your media. We do not analyze the contents of your documents and do not use them for any other purpose.
Where data is stored
All data is stored on Google Cloud in the us-east1 region. Encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256).
Retention
Documents and receipts are deleted 30 days after being sent. Account metadata (balance, fax history) is retained until you delete your account.
Account deletion
Open the app → Account → Delete account. All your data is removed right away.
Third-party processors
- Google Cloud — backend hosting and authentication
- Google Analytics — usage measurement on the website and in the app
- Apple — In-App Purchase processing and refund requests. When you ask Apple for a refund, we tell Apple how much of that purchase you have used.
- Sinch — fax transmission
- Resend — transactional email delivery
Your rights
Email support@cheapfax.app to request a copy of your data, correction, or deletion. We respond within 30 days.
